Russia launched an hours-long missile and drone attack against Ukrainian ports, logistics facilities, industrial sites and energy infrastructure, according to Ukrainian officials.

Ukraine’s military said the overnight barrage involved 258 drones and an unspecified number of ballistic missiles. Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said the targets included ports, grain storage facilities, energy assets and industrial infrastructure, with ballistic and hypersonic missiles used alongside combat drones.

The Ukrainian military reported that seven ballistic missiles had been intercepted. Air-defence activity continued in Kyiv into the daytime as drones crossed several neighbourhoods. Debris from the attacks wounded four people in the capital, officials said.

Russia’s defence ministry said its forces had struck three ports in the Odesa region, logistics centres near Kyiv, steelworks in Kryvyi Rih and Zaporizhzhia, and an oil refinery in the Poltava region. Ukrainian officials also reported damage to industrial and energy sites in Poltava and Odesa, as well as infrastructure in Kryvyi Rih.

The attacks affected several parts of Ukraine’s distribution network. A logistics centre serving electronics retailer COMFY in the Kyiv area was targeted, while a distribution facility operated for a toy company was destroyed, according to statements from company executives. Chocolate producer Roshen said one of its warehouses outside Kyiv was also destroyed.

Rail services were disrupted across multiple regions, causing extended delays and leaving passengers stranded. In Kharkiv, a daytime strike on a shopping centre killed one person and injured two others, regional governor Oleh Syniehubov said.

Russia also reported an overnight Ukrainian drone attack. Online retailer Ozon said the incident temporarily closed its logistics complex in Ufa. Ukraine has targeted several Ozon facilities since Saturday as part of a campaign against e-commerce companies that it says support infrastructure connected to Russia’s war effort.

The escalation followed further pledges of support for Ukraine from allied countries. Britain has said it will give Kyiv access to classified technology to begin domestic production of Storm Shadow cruise missiles. Moscow warned that it could respond to Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory involving British weapons by striking British military targets inside or outside Ukraine.

Neighbouring Moldova said six Russian drones entered its airspace during the attacks, with one found on Moldovan territory. President Maia Sandu condemned the incident.
