Necessary technologies

The site uses a PHP session cookie for login state, CSRF/security protection and verification flows. It is required for core site functions. Your cookie choices are stored locally in your browser under marine_news_consent_v1 so the site can remember whether optional categories were accepted or rejected.

Optional categories

Analytics: disabled by default. No analytics script should be loaded unless this category is enabled and an analytics service is separately configured.

Marketing: disabled by default. No advertising or marketing script should be loaded unless this category is enabled and a service is separately configured.

Security service

If Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled on protected forms, it is used as a security/anti-abuse measure. It is not controlled by the optional analytics or marketing switches because protected forms require the security check to defend accounts and posting endpoints.

Change or withdraw your choices

Use Cookie Settings to accept, reject or change optional categories. Rejecting optional categories does not disable core login, account or forum functions.
